Horticulture Horizons conference at TRU

.     A one-day conference is being planned by TRU’s horticulture program, featuring 8 seminars by certified horticulturists, garden designers and plant specialists.  Topics include fruit-tree training, rockscaping artistry, culinary herbs, succulent plant cultivation and square-foot gardening.  The keynote address by Glen Bowman will chronicle the effect of globalization on the gardening industry.  Attendees can look forward to a lunch created by TRU’s culinary arts department. Homegrown Revolution

A while ago I came across this trailer about a family living in the middle of suburbia who is literally self sufficient. Infact they grew 45 tons of vegetables on their typical suburban lot! It truly is amazing and inspiring. I have planted a garden this year that won’t come close to this but hey, you have to start somewhere right?
