New information: “It is our best understanding that, if we bring down CO2 to net zero, the warming will level off. The climate will stabilize within a decade or two. There will be very little to no additional warming,” says climate scientist Joeri Rogelj, a lead author of the next IPCC report.

Awesome news! Trudeau has announced today a gradual hike in the federal carbon tax on fuels to $170 a tonne by 2030. Gasoline, natural gas, fuel oil and propane will all cost more, helping to wean consumers off fossil fuels.

To compensate for increased costs, "the government said it will continue to return most of the money collected by this program through rebates."

"The average family of four in Ontario will collect roughly $2,018 a year in climate rebates by 2030."
