Experience the Joy of Fixing Your Beloved Thing(s)!
Get ready for an exciting day! The Kamloops Repair Café is coming to the North Shore on April 26th from 10 am to 3 pm at the Sports Council Building located on MacArthur Island (former KYSA office, by the mini-golf). This event is your golden opportunity to bring in small electrical items, clothing, bicycles, and even small wooden furniture to be fixed by local volunteer experts. Plus, you can pick up some invaluable repair skills along the way!
Organized by our Repair Café Kamloops team and supported by the City of Kamloops Climate Action Fund, the event is completely free and welcomes everyone. No need to register beforehand – just show up, and your items will be repaired on a first come, first served basis.
If you’re unsure whether your item is suitable for repair, feel free to email us for clarification.
We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteer organizers and skilled “fixers.” If you or someone you know has a passion for repairing items and would love to be part of our team, please reach out! This is a fantastic chance to give back to the community, share your expertise, and make a difference.
Right now, we’re also looking for a writer to keep our Repair Cafe webpage updated with Repair Café stories and updates. We need someone to keep the public informed about upcoming events, and to dig a bit deeper into the backstories behind the items being brought in for fixing and the Repair Cafe team. Let us know!
