“In the face of overwhelming evidence on the need to take urgent action on climate change, why do we do nothing?”  Kamloops 350 invites the public to the Philosopher’s Café on Tuesday, October 15, when Dr. Penny Powers will address this topic.  The Council of Canadians hosts this Cafe monthly at The Smorgasbord Restaurant, 225 7th Avenue, starting at 7 pm. As the recent IPCC report confirms, climate change is already happening, and it’s caused by us.  Extreme weather events like the recent flooding in Calgary will become more common, as will the wildfires that swept Colorado, yet we hear surprisingly little about concrete actions being taken to reduce these impacts. Kamloops 350 plans for 2012

Are you concerned about climate change?  Do you want to do something tangible about it?  Why not join a like-minded group of people who devote some time to making a difference locally.  Kamloops 350, the group that organized The Great Green Transportation Tune-Up, is looking for new volunteers!
