February Films for Change presented by the City of Kamloops in partnership with Transition Kamloops will be the documentary film, “Idle Threat – Man On Emission.”

Greg Baytalan: Interior Health – Community health perspective on idling
Glen Cheetham: Sustainability Services, City of Kamloops – current corporate/community initiatives re idling reduction, including bylaw development
Jim Gudjonson: TRU campus/corporate idling perspective
Gina Morris: Kamloops Moms for Clean Air – community air quality perspective
Synopsis: Idle Threat is a lively look at one man’s spirited struggle to improve public health by raising awareness about idling’s impact, starting in New York City. Against all odds, he succeeds, helping improve local air quality, and in the process gains world-wide recognition for the anti-idling cause, with articles featured in the Wall Street Journal, New Yorker magazine, and the Financial Times.
