May Films for Change: PUSH

Propolis Cooperative Housing Society is excited to host a Films For Change film screening of PUSH and panel discussion on May 29 at the TRU Alumni Clocktower Theatre! The event is sponsored by Tapestry Collective Co-op and the TRU Sustainability Office.

Doors open at 6:30 and PUSH, a film by Swedish Director Fredrik Gertten starts at 7pm. Admission is by donation.

PUSH sheds light on a new kind of faceless landlord and the escalating crisis that has an effect on us all. The film follows Leilani Farha, the UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing, as she travels the globe, trying to understand who’s being pushed out of the city and why.

What is the situation in Kamloops? The panel discussion, an integral part of the Films For Change series, will explore how local people are working to change our city for the better.

Join us to get the details on our city policies, cooperative housing initiatives, and land ownership issues from the citizens who live work and play on Tk̓emlúps territory!
