Do you like to fix things? Are you interested in helping out with events in your community that promote sustainable living?

Then the Kamloops Repair Cafe is for you!

We are part of a worldwide organization, Repair Cafe International, and a local organization, Transition Kamloops, that encourages our community to repair household items and divert them from going to landfills. About four times a year, we host events at local malls or halls where we mentor and assist people with learning the art of repair for themselves.

We have stations at these events for repairing bicycles, small engines, clothing/textiles, jewelry, woodworking, electrical items and electronic items. Repair experience is an asset but not a requirement. We will provide direction and training.

Apart from “repair experts”, we are also looking for volunteers that can assist with social media and advertising, event organization, and the registration table.
