We have a plan. Now we need the money to make the plan a reality.

We’re excited to see that the City is proposing a mechanism to fund the implementation of the Community Climate Action Plan. Will they vote to do it, though? Your feedback might make the difference!

The Councillors will soon be discussing the Supplemental Budget Items. It’s a long list, and not all of the items will be funded. We need to make sure that our elected officials hear from residents that funding climate action is a top priority.

Online feedback is not the only way for the public to comment on each of the supplementals. We encourage you to attend the Public Budget Meeting at the MacArthur Island Sports & Event Centre on March 10, 2022.

The supplemental items will be deliberated and voted on by Council on April 5, 2022. Comments will be collected until Sunday, March 27, 2022, to allow time to gather, review, and prepare the feedback for Council.
