An exciting new initiative just started in Kamloops over the summer: Kamloops Climate Cafés!

Climate Cafés started a few years ago in the UK. They are spreading and are now happening in Kamloops, too! Here is how the project describes itself:

The idea is simple: Meet with other people and take turns expressing how climate and ecological breakdown makes you feel.

This initiative in Kamloops is organized by two community volunteers. They have had several events so far: one at the Vic downtown, and a few more at the Smorgasbord Deli.

Join a small group of fellow community members in downtown Kamloops to connect and share your feelings about climate change. All are welcome!

The next Cafe is scheduled for Thursday, November 25 at 10:30 am at the Smorgasbord Deli. For more information, please check the event on Facebook.
