Community Climate Action Plan Public Engagement
The City of Kamloops is developing a Community Climate Action Plan to set the direction for reducing local greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and supporting a cleaner, healthier, lower-carbon future. The eight ‘Big Moves’ and their associated draft policy options and actions have the potential to reduce our community emissions by approx. 80% by 2050.
The City Wants to Hear From You!
There are a number of ways to provide input on the plan’s draft policy options and actions:
1. Complete an online survey which is open until October 12, 2020, and enter to win one of three B.Y.O gift baskets, each including a $50 Downtown gift certificate.
2. Register and join a conversation on an online forum discussion at https://letstalk.kamloops.ca/ClimateAction
3. Share your climate action “story” under the ‘Stories’ tab at https://letstalk.kamloops.ca/ClimateAction
4. Attend a virtual open house on Thursday, October 8, 2020, 4:00–6:00 pm using Zoom, which will feature a presentation on the plan’s draft policy options and actions followed by a Q&A session with the project team.
