Kamloops Food Policy Council has been having a great summer – with a successful Public Produce launch of our newest garden on Elm Street. And, we were successful in receiving $45,000 over a 3 year period for our Gleaning Abundance program from Interior Health Community Food Action Initiative. We will tell you more about our latest projects at our KFPC meeting Wed Sept 11th at 5 pm at Mount Paul United Church.
And, please hold the dates Wed Oct 16th and 23rd at 5 pm ( Mount Paul United Church) for a 2 part meeting to help KFPC move forward on Governance. This means to review how we operate, our board structure, working committees, non-profit status and basically how best to structure ourselves as we move forward with all our community projects and partners. We have such momentum and we want to capture this as we move into our next phase of Strategic planning.
We will tell you more about this at our next meeting in September.
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and lots of Farmer’s Market outings!
