Interior Community Service’s Community Kitchens program at Mount Paul United Church recently welcomed a $5000 donation from Farm2Chefs to purchase new stoves and other equipment. The Community Kitchen helps teach people to prepare and preserve garden produce.

Farm2Chefs started in 2010 with the goal of connecting local farms with local restaurants so that locally grown food shows up on restaurant plates. With membership at more than 70 farmers and chefs, the collaborative supports farmers and food security organizations through grant programs, such as the donation to the Community Kitchens program, as well as bringing awareness of local food delights to our region through education and entertainment.
