The Kamloops Food Policy Council believes we have much to celebrate when it comes to FOOD. Public Produce has expanded from a small plot two years ago to several larger sites at McDonald Park, Elm & Tranquille Road, at the front entrance to City Hall and along Lorne Street at Riverside Park. If you look, you will discover many local businesses (eg. Urban Systems) are now incorporating public produce into their decorative outside planters. What is PUBLIC PRODUCE? It is food grown in public places for public consumption – anyone can harvest the food at no cost.
