The organizers of Bike To Work Week are thrilled with the response this year. Exceeding the goal of 100 participating teams, there were 108 teams registered, up from 73 last year (a very impressive increase of 47%). The number of total cyclists was also way up to 512, up 70% from 301 last year: And in terms of total kilometers, the number is over 20,000, up from just over 16,000 kms last year. Way to go, Kamloops!
Co-coordinator James Gordon says, “We are all delighted with how the event went this year – and thank goodness for the great weather we had that week! Remember – get on your bike!”
