It’s coming September 26 – October 1st – all week, all over town!
During the last week of September, Kamloops 350 is partnering with the City of Kamloops and others to bring you The Great Green Transportation Tune-Up: a whole series of fun events with a focus on sustainable transportation. - Transit Treasure Hunt – a scavenger hunt with a twist – travel the City on your free bus pass and become eligible for great prizes (all week)
- Green Your Transportation Pledge – good for you and good for the environment (all week)
- Transit Future Bus – provide input on the 25 year Master Transit Plan at various locations (all week)
- Transit Spot Prizes – This one’s easy: ride the bus to win! (all week)
- How to Boil a Frog (film) – This comic documentary was a big hit at this spring’s Film Festival, so they brought it back! September 27 at TRU
- The Future of Transportation – a panel discussion with BCSEA member John Kenney and City of Kamloops Transportation Planner Erin Felker September 28 at TRU
- Transportation Imagination Station – October 1 downtown at St. Andrew’s on the Square:
- Bike, Bus or Boogie – a multi-modal challenge where both time and carbon emissions are calculated
- Cool Wheels Show – the coolest ways to move, featuring Raven, the über-cool solar-powered car from UBC
- Slow Bike Un-Race – slowest bike wins!
- Moving Around Kamloops: Describe your vision for the future in pictures or words
- Imagine the Future: Eureka Science camp activities for kids
- Tire Pressure Checking Blitzes
- Bicycle Show and Shine – featuring an antique penny farthing bike beside the latest & greatest bikes!
Event partners also include the BC Sustainable Energy Association, TRU, West-Can Automotive and the Kamloops & District Labour Council.
