Got an old camera that’s still working?

If you are upgrading your old point and shoot digital cameras and equipment this year, I am seeking donations!  Only cameras in working condition, please.

Beginning January 2011 and for the 4 seasons in the full year, I plan to connect with rural and city youth to ‘Notice Quiet Nature’.

The premise is that:

  • These children typically cannot afford cameras.
  • They live rural and are very much connected to nature.
  • They live in Kamloops and are not connected very much to nature.
  • All children naturally connect to nature.
  • To see nature through a child’s eye.
  • At years end the children’s photography will be publically displayed

If you are interested, I could also use help or materials.

(Keep it to recycled materials in good condition)

Such as:

  • Print out the children’s photos
  • Mat and frame displayed photos
  • Portfolio quality Photo Albums as Keepsakes
  • Art Supplies ~ All kinds
  • Journals (lined or unlined)

“Healing the broken bond between our young and the natural world is in our self-interest, not only because aesthetics or justice demand it, but also  because our mental, physical, and spiritual health — and our future relationship with the Earth — depend upon it.”

— Richard Louv, Author of “Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder

Your support to quickly organize this is appreciated. Thank You!
