Are you concerned about climate change? Do you want to send a message to our leaders that Canada should be actively working to reduce the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere?
Join the letter-writing campaign asking that Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act, be brought back to the Senate for debate. This Act, which represents Canada’s best hope for passing realistic targets for greenhouse gas emissions, was passed in the House of Commons, and is now stalled in the Senate.
The Climate Change Accountability Act lays out a framework for coming up with targets for greenhouse gas emissions in Canada. The bill has passed in the House of Commons, but is being held up in the Senate and will likely die when the next election is called, unless something changes. This is our best hope for coming to terms with climate change in Canada.
