The River Street community garden will be having its grand opening on June 9th, at 10:30 am. The city council and mayor will be in attendance, as well as members of the press. This event will be a good opportunity for people who are sustainability minded to network, and share ideas on the future of Kamloops.

For those of you who have not had the opportunity to see what has been going on at the River Street Community Garden I really do suggest that you take the time to stroll a little farther down the promenade or make the drive under the underpass to check it out. It is a beautiful garden and all those involved should be commended for their efforts.

It is located on the far side of the skatepark that is at the end of Lorne and 11th in downtown Kamloops. On River St : ) across the street from the old recycling drop off and the tennis courts.
